Volleyball Starts Three-Game Home Stand

Complete Notes in PDF

Colorado Mesa returns home for a pivotal three-game home stand to conclude the RMAC regular season. Mesa will host Colorado Christian Friday (Nov. 6) and Colorado Mines Saturday (Nov. 7).

Conference Standings
The hunt for the RMAC volleyball regular season title is pretty simple for the Mavericks. If they win the remaining three games the Mavs will be conference champs. They can clinch the regular season title with a loss but will need help from other teams around the league.

Home Court Advantage
Colorado Mesa has dominated at home. The Mavs have posted a 26-4 mark in Brownson Arena since 2013. The last regular season home loss for CMU came on Nov. 8, 2013 against Western New Mexico (3-1). The Mavs are 4-5 this season on the road and 2-4 in neutral site matches. CMU is averaging 702 fans per match at home and 275 on the road.

Player of the Week
Taylor Woods earned her second RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Glendale, Ariz., racked up 55 digs against South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State on Friday and Saturday. The Glendale, Ariz., native helped the team to a 3-0 victory over the Hardrockers and 3-1 win over the Yellow Jackets. She served one ace, had nine assists, and averaged 7.86 digs per set. Woods leads the RMAC with 5.18 digs per set.

Looking Ahead
Colorado Mesa will end the regular season by hosting Westminster Nov. 13th.
