Player of the Week
Ryan Stephan was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week after a dominating performance in the RMAC vs. Heartland Conference Shootout last weekend. Stephan, the RMAC Preseason Player of the Year, leads Div. II in scoring averaging 33.5 points per contest while shooting 64-percent from the field. The Lakewood, Colo., native notched a pair of double-doubles, averaging 12.5 rebounds per game, 13th best in Div. II. In the season opener against St. Edward's he tallied 33 points and 14 rebounds. He scored 34 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in a win against Dallas Baptist.
Rebounds
CMU grabbed a school record 50 rebounds in the win over Dallas Baptist last weekend. The previous record was 49 rebounds against Fort Lewis on Feb. 21, 2003. CMU ranks 14th in Div. II in defensive rebounds averaging 33.0 per game.Â
Assists
Derek Biale tallied a season-high 10 assists in the win at Dallas Baptist. The Redondo Beach, Calif., native ranks 11th in Div. II in both assists per game (7.0) and assist-to-turnover ratio (8.0).Â
First Double-Double
Kabir West recorded his first career double-double in the win at Dallas Baptist. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native scored 12 points, including 7-of-8 from the free throw line, and grabbed 12 rebounds. He is averaging 8.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season.Â
Tale of Two Halves
CMU has been out-scored in the  first half this season 82-68, but has out-scored its opponents 108-86 in the second half.Â
700 Wins
Colorado Mesa's win over Dallas Baptist was the 700th in program history.Â
Looking Ahead
CMU will make its home debut next weekend (Nov. 27-28) when it hosts the Holiday Inn - Airport Thanksgiving Classic. Mesa will host Webber International and Texas A&M - Commerce.Â
