Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's soccer team earned a 1-1 tie with the UCCS Mountain Lions on Friday evening at Mountain Lion Field in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match.
 
UCCS got on the board early in the match with a goal in the second minute off a corner kick.
 
Colorado Mesa freshman Lauren Thompson evened the match at 1-1 with her first collegiate goal the came just before halftime in the 44^th minute. Thompson goal glanced off the goal post and into the net. Megan Stabile was credited with the assist.
 
The two teams would play the next 65 minutes of the match scoreless and even in all facets of the match.
 
Colorado Mesa will head to Gunnison to take on the Western State Colorado Mountaineers on Sunday at Gateway Field.
