Women Win Four Events in Gunnison

GUNNISON, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University women's swimming and diving team won four events but fell at Western State 161-80 Friday (Oct. 30).

Eryn Leonard won the 100 fly (1:00.18), and Sami Lenzmeier won the 100 back (1:01.83). She was third in the 50 free (25.51).

Abi Smith won one-meter diving with a score of 208.71, and Amanda Grigsby was third with a score of 172.55.

The 200 medley relay of Sami Lenzmeier, Kendall Wingfield, Lia Barsky and Riley Koldenhoven won in a time of 4:34.13.

Marissa Bradley collected a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100 (54.99) and 200 (2:00.42) free.

Katelin Staab placed second in the 1,000 free (11:26.53). Sami Lenzmeier was third in the 200 individual medley (2:20.87), and the 400 free relay placed third (3:51.28).

Colorado Mesa will compete at Adams State Saturday (Oct. 31).
