Box Score DALLAS, Texas – The Colorado Mesa women's soccer team closed out the non-conference portion of the schedule on Saturday morning with a 4-1 loss to the Angelo State Rambelles.
The Mavericks jumped out to the early 1-0 lead on a goal by
Kendra Penchoff in the fourth minute of the match. The goal was Penchoff's first of the season and third of her career.
Angelo State scored the next four goals of the match to take the 4-1 win.
Rambelle Haley Mendel recorded a hat trick in the match, recording goals in the 19
th, 30
th and 86
th minutes.
Colorado Mesa didn't record a corner kick in the match and took six shots in each half.
The Mavericks will look to get in the win column next Friday when they open up RMAC play against Colorado Christian at 4:30pm at Walker Field.
