Box Score 2 DENVER - The Colorado Mesa University volleyball team's winning streak hit five matches before coming to end at the hands of Regis University Saturday night (Sept. 12).
The Mavericks continued their hot start to the season in dominate fashion with a 3-0 victory over No. 5 ranked University Central Missouri in the first game of the day. The Mavs beat the Jennies 25-22 in all three sets. With this win, Colorado Mesa remained not only unbeaten on the season, but had yet to lose a set.
Abby Ney finished the game with a team-high 12 kills and hit .450.
Casey Ball was just behind her with 11 kills.
Jordyn Moody recorded 42 assists with 11 digs.

Erin Perez, and Tiffany Peterson all recorded digs in the double digits with Peterson leading the way with 20.
The second game of the Colorado Premier Challenge for the Mavericks featured a non-conference match against the host Regis Rangers.
The Mavs lost the first two sets of the match, as well as the season, 25-22 and 25-23.
The team battled back and won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-23 to force a fifth and final set. The final set was narrow affair that went to extra points before Regis snapped Mesa's winning streak with a 24-22 win.
Melissa Hess finished the game with 18 kills giving her 26 on the day.
Abby Ney added 13 more kills to bring her day total to 25.
Casey Ball and
Audrey Steinkirchner each had 11 kills in the match.
The Mavericks will look to continue their great start to the season tomorrow as they face off against No. 10 Southwest Minnesota State at 9:30 am and seven-time defending national champions and current No. 1 Concordia-St Paul.
