Box Score CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State shot 63 percent from the field in a 94-82 win over the Colorado Mesa men's basketball team on Saturday night in Armstrong Gymnasium.
Colorado Mesa shot 55 percent (31-of-56) from the field and connected on 12-of-13 attempts from the free-throw line but Chadron State shot 57 percent (17-of-30) from downtown for a 51-24 advantage.
Landon Vermeer paced the Mavericks with 21 points including 5-of-8 from beyond the three-point arc. Vermeer also had two assists and a rebound.
Ryan Stephan and
Carlos Perez each finished in double-figures. Stephan finished with 17 points while Perez had 10.
Six Eagles finished in double-digit scoring, led by David Downey's 19 points.
The Mavericks will be back home next weekend with games against New Mexico Highlands and Western New Mexico.
