Derek Biale enjoyed his best weekend in a Maverick uniform. The Redondo Beach, Calif., native drained three 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 10 points against Angelo State. He also grabbed a career-high five rebounds against the Rams. He followed up with a career and game-high seven assists against Texas A&M - International.

Landon Vermeer, Mike Melillo and
Nate Hawley all scored career-highs over the weekend. Vermeer finished with 14 points, Melillo with 10 and Hawley with five.

Colorado Mesa is shooting 50-percent from behind the 3-point line, the best in the RMAC. The Mavericks are averaging 9.5 3-pointers per game this season, second most in the league. Opponents are shooting 38-percent from behind the arc against Black Hills, second best in the RMAC.

Ryan Stephan averaged 19.5 points per game last weekend during the Holiday Inn - Airport Thanksgiving Classic. He is averaging 23.2 points per game, the most in the RMAC. He is shooting 65-percent from the field, tied for fourth best in the league, and tied for eighth in 3-point shooting at 50-percent. Stephan ranks fifth in the league in rebounds with 7.7 per game.
Beating the Best
Colorado Mesa's 70-67 win over Angelo State was its first victory over a top-25 team since Feb. 28, 2014 when it defeated MSU Denver 67-63 in overtime.
