COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Colorado Mesa allowed two goals in four minutes with less than eight minutes left in the match in a 2-1 loss to the UCCS Mountain Lions on Sunday afternoon in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's soccer match.
The Mavericks got on the board in the 27
th minute on a goal by senior
Julia Kranstover. Kranstover's goal was her first of the season and was assisted by
Amanda Wenzel.
UCCS tallied a pair of goals in less than four minutes of each other with just under eight minutes to play. Both goals were scored by Mountain Lion Michaela Mansfield.
Sarah Schnetzler made seven saves in the match and faced 15 total shots.
The Mavericks will return home for a match on Friday evening against Colorado Mines 7:00pm at Walker Field.
