GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado – Fifth ranked Colorado Mines scored a goal in each half on their way to a 2-0 victory over Colorado Mesa on Friday evening at Walker Field.
The Orediggers scored goals in the 40
th minute and the 62
nd minute of the match to secure the victory.
The Mavericks best opportunity came early in the second half when
Sarah Pope took the ball down the near sideline, beating two defenders to setup a pair of one-on-one chances with the goalie. Pope took a pair of shots that were both saved by Oredigger Jayln Yates.

The Mavericks will have another home match on Sunday against nationally ranked MSU Denver at 2:30pm from Walker Field.
