Abby Ney tallied 18 kills to lead the No. 14 Colorado Mesa University volleyball team to a straight set win over CSU-Pueblo Friday (Oct. 24).
Ney tallied her 18 kills on 32 attacks with just two errors to finish with a .500 attack percentage. She also had three blocks and two digs.
Melissa Hess also enjoyed a strong night offensively hitting .314 with 16 kills.
Tiffany Petersen led four Mavericks in double digit digs with 15. 
Erin Perez finished with 14 while 
Kricket Adleman and 
Casey Ball each had 10.
Jordyn Moody accounted for 49 of the team's 54 assists.
The Maverick offense dominated the first set scoring 17 of their 25 points on kills to win 25-16.
CMU improved even more in the second set hitting a match-high .395, including a match-high 21 kills.
The third set of the match was the closest of the three. CMU hit .154 compared to .143 for CSUP. Both teams each had set point, but the Mavericks would convert to win the third and final set 29-27.
Mariangel Perez and Oni Lattin each led Pueblo with 10 kills.
CMU hit .266 for the match while holding CSUP to .173.
CMU (19-3, 12-1) will look for its 20
th win of the season Saturday (Oct. 25) when it hosts Western State.
