GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado – The Colorado Mesa Mavericks and the Western State Mountaineers battled for 110 minutes and couldn't decide anything with the match ending in a 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening at Walker Field.
The Mavericks and Mountaineers played to a nil-nil draw back on October 3 up in Gunnison.
Colorado Mesa outshot Western State 14-9 and committed more fouls 12-11 in the match.
The Mavericks best opportunity to score may have come in the first overtime period when
Monica Carlos took a shot that made its way just over the crossbar.
Emma Thompson led the Mavericks with three shots while Jennifer Kahle had four shots for the Mountaineers.
Colorado Mesa will be back in action on Friday afternoon when they host the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls at 4:300pm at Walker Field.
