LIVE STATSWEEKEND RECAPColorado Mesa dropped a pair of matches to Adams State and Regis on the road. Adams State scored a goal in the 16th minute and the Mavericks could never fully recover, garnering eight shots with three coming on goal.
Against Regis, the Rangers scored three first half goals and tacked on a pair in the second half in a 5-0 win.
Kendra Penchoff had three shots with one coming on net.
HISTORY WITH MOUNTAINEERSThe Mavericks and Mountaineers met back on October 3 and settled for a nil-nil tie. Colorado Mesa is 2-1-1 all-time against Western State in their series. Western State's lone win came last season in Gunnison.
HISTORY WITH THE COWGIRLSColorado Mesa holds an all-time mark of 16-8-4 against New Mexico Highlands but are 2-2-1 in their last five meetings. The Cowgirls took last year's meeting 3-1 down in Las Vegas. The Mavericks last win came in 2012 in Grand Junction when they secured a 3-0 win.
ACADEMICSThe Mavericks had 12 student-athletes named to the RMAC All-Academic Team late last week.
Marie Dreher was named to the First Team with a 4.0 GPA.

Amanda Wenzel make goalies work. Pope and Wenzel lead the Mavericks in shots on goal and are the only two players with double-digits in the category.
FINISH STRONGColorado Mesa has three of their final four matches in the friendly confinds of Walker Field. They just finished a stretch where four of their last six matches have been on the road. Two of those matches also come against teams outside the RMAC Tournament picture.
RMAC HISTORYThis summer the RMAC held their Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Colorado Springs. Three-time All-American Cheryl Bates-Olson was inducted as the first soccer player, men or women, into the RMAC Hall of Fame. Bates-Olson is tied for the school record in games played and games started. She also played in three NCAA Tournaments.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLColorado Mesa was picked to finish ninth in the RMAC Preseason Coaches Poll and didnt place anyone on the preseason team. Colorado Mines was picked to win the league while Metro State was second.
NEXT UPThe Mavericks will be on the road on Friday against RMAC rival Fort Lewis for their final road match of the season before returning home on Sunday for their final match of the season against Adams State. Sunday's match will also be senior day for the team's four seniors.
