ALAMOSA, Colorado – Colorado Mesa surrendered a goal in the 16th minute of the match and could never recover in a 1-0 loss to the Adams State Grizzlies in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's soccer match on Friday afternoon.
Colorado Mesa was outshot in the match 12-8 and the Grizzlies had more shots on goal 5-3.
Monica Carlos led the Mavericks with three shots taken and had one of the three Maverick shots on goal.
Sarah Schnetzler made five saves and faced 12 shots in a goal for Colorado Mesa.
The Mavericks will close out the road trip on Sunday with a match against the Regis Rangers in Denver.
