NAMPA, Idaho – The Colorado Mesa University fell in overtime in their season opener this morning 1-0 to the Cal State – Stanislaus Warriors at Northwest Nazarene University.
 
The lone goal of the match came 5:51 into the overtime period when Warrior Josue Barajas headed home the golden goal off a corner kick from teammate Carlos Gavino. Barajas beat Maverick goalkeeper Brandyn Bumpas who got the start between the pipes.
 
The Mavericks will play host Northwest Nazarene at 1:00pm on Monday in Idaho to finish out the season opening road trip.
