The Colorado Mesa University baseball team's season came to a close after a 3-0 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville at Nolan Ryan Field in Kingsville, Texas.
The Mavericks outhit the Javelinas in the game 8-6 but never had a runner reach third base and had two runners on base twice.
In the bottom of the second inning with one out and a runner on first, A&M-Kingsville's shortstop hit a taylor made double-play ball to shortstop
Nate Robertson but the ball took a bad hop and all runners were safe. The next batter laced a double which scored two runs and gave the Javelinas a 2-0 lead.
Kingsville tacked on one more in the fourth for the 3-0 lead.

Kyle Davis took his first loss in his Colorado Mesa career but pitched well enough to win. Davis went six innings and allowed three runs on five hits, walked two and struck out six. Davis fell to 8-1 on the season and 16-1 in his career.

Braden Box each had two hits for the Mavericks.
