The Colorado Mesa University baseball team concluded their four-game series with the Adams State Grizzlies in Alamosa at ASU Baseball Field. The Mavericks completed the four-game sweep of the Grizzlies with a 15-5 win in the series finale today and have now won eight games in a row and 19 of their past 20 games.
Colten Little concluded his career weekend with a 4-for-6 performance with a double, a homerun, and three runs scored. He hit .706 (12-for-17) with 10 runs scored, nine RBIs, three doubles, and two homeruns in the four-game series against Adams State. Little raised his batting average102 points and is now hitting .370 on the season.
Tamatoa Demello also hit his first homerun of the season. Demello launched a three-run homer over the leftfield fence to give the Mavericks a 14-5 lead at the time. He finished the game with four runs driven in.
Utility man
Garrett Carpenter continued his hitting streak with a single in the third inning. Carpenter has now hit safely in 15 straight games and has reached base in 16 consecutive ball games. He finished today's game 1-for-5 with two runs scored.
Junior
Kyle Davis received his third start of the season and picked up his third win of the season. Davis went five innings and allowed five runs on eight hits, walked one and struck out seven.
Davis gave way to
Cody Lahman who pitched three perfect innings striking out two and didnt allow a base runner. The outing dropped Lahman's ERA below two on the season.

Garrett Carpenter combined to pitch a scoreless ninth inning.
The Mavericks will be back in action at Suplizio Field as they host rival CSU-Pueblo in a four-game series beginning Friday at 6:05pm. Friday's game will be American Cancer Society Relay for Life night with proceeds from the game benefitting the American Cancer Society.
