GUNNISON, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's swimming and diving team won nine of 13 events against Western State in a 132-86 win over the Mountaineers Saturday (Nov. 16).

The Mavericks opened the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 400 medley relay in 3:39.89.

CMU won all four freestyle events. Eryn Leonard won the 50 (26.01), Samantha Parker won the 100 (58.49), Marissa Bradley won the 200 (2:04.32) and Maddy Wigg won the 500 (5:41.21).

Katherine Gertsmar won the 200 backstroke (2:17.47), and Briana Purkapile won the 200 fly (2:15.68).

Miranda Reetz won the 400 individual medley, and Amanda Jennings took top honors in 1-meter diving.

The women's swimming and diving team will host the CMU Invitational Dec. 5-7.
