Adams on Tap for Senior Day

Colorado Mesa will play its final home game of the regular season when it hosts Adams State Saturday (Nov. 16). Mesa enters the game 6-4 overall and 4-4 in the RMAC and is currently on a three-game losing streak. Adams enters the game 5-5 overall and 4-4 in league play and has lost its last two games. 
The Series
Colorado Mesa leads the all-time series with Adams State 23-15 and has a commanding 14-2 mark against the Grizzlies in Grand Junction. Adams has won eight of the last 10 meetings between the two schools. 
RMAC Standings
With a win Colorado Mesa will finish fourth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. 
Picked Dry
Colorado Mesa's streak of 11 games with at least one interception came to an end Saturday at Western State. The last time the Mavericks failed to record an interception was a 48-10 loss at No. 1 CSU-Pueblo on Oct. 27, 2012. 
Tackle Leader
Senior Jake Edmiston leads NCAA Div. II and ranks second in all divisions in total tackles with 15.5 per game. The Palisade, Colo., native also leads Div. II with 9.0 solo tackles per game. He needs 28 tackles against Adams State to break the school record for tackles in a season. 

Double Duty
Senior Mike Brady leads the RMAC and ranks eighth in the nation with 0.6 interceptions per game. The Highlands Ranch, Colo., native also ranks fifth in the league and ninth in the nation in punting at 43.0 yards per punt. 
Interceptions
Colorado Mesa is tied with Shaw for the national lead in interceptions with 22. 
Turnovers
Colorado Mesa has gained 32 turnovers this season, one fewer than national leader Fort Valley State.
Red Zone Defense
The Mavericks lead the conference and rank seventh nationally in red zone defense at .579. 
Fourth Down Defense
Mesa leads the RMAC and is eighth nationally in fourth down defense at .261. 
Pass Defender
Jordan Price ranks second in the RMAC and 14th nationally in passes defended (interceptions + pass break-ups) at 1.5 per game. The Fort Worth, Texas native has been the main kick returner for the Mavericks this season. He is averaging 22.4 yards per return. 

Kick Returns
Colorado Mesa ranks second in the RMAC and 28th in the nation in kick returns at 23.15 yards per return. 
Penalties
The Mavericks are averaging 66.4 penalty yards per game, third fewest in the RMAC.
