Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's volleyball team defeated Adams State 3-0 Friday (Oct. 4) at Brownson Arena. The loss was the first for the Grizzlies in conference play this season. The Mavericks improve to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in league play.

CMU used a balanced attack offensively with
Christian Otzen and
Erin Perez each finishing with a team-high nine kills.
Abby Ney hit .412 with eight kills and one error for Mesa who hit .229 in the match.
Erin Perez and
Sunni Rae Baird each finished with a match-high 13 digs in the win.
Baird also factored heavily into the team's serving game. The senior libero did not record a service ace in the match but her tough serves led to several runs for the Mavericks.
Jordyn Moody recorded 34 assists on 41 CMU kills.
Adams State was led by Deprece Washington who recorded a match-high 12 kills.
Colorado Mesa will host Western State Saturday (Oct. 5) at 7 pm.
