Colorado Mesa will play at Fort Lewis Oct. 19. The game is part of Homecoming for the Skyhawks. The Mavericks enter the contest on a three-game winning streak, its first since 2009. Fort Lewis enters the game on a two-game losing streak after dropping a 51-16 decision at Colorado Mines on Oct. 12. 
The Series
Colorado Mesa holds a dominating 28-10 overall record against Fort Lewis. The Mavericks are 11-3 all-time against the Skyhawks in Durango with its last loss at FLC coming in 2005. 
National Leader
Senior Jake Edmiston earned National and RMAC Player of the Week honors this week. He leads Div. II and ranks tied for third among all players in college football in tackles per game (14.8 tpg). The Palisade, Colo., native ranks second in the nation in solo tackles with 7.5 per game. He made a season-high 23 tackles against Western New Mexico. 
Defensive Threat
Junior Jordan Price leads the RMAC in interceptions and passes defended. The Fort Worth, Texas, native ranks fifth in the nation in passes defended (2.0) and seventh in interceptions (0.7 ipg). 

Career Charts
Junior running back Jake Cimolino moved into third place all-time in career rushing at Colorado Mesa with 2,966 yards. The Fort Bragg, Calif., native rushed for 135 yards on 30 carries (4.5 ypc) in the win over Western New Mexico.

Kaiser Returns
Redshirt freshman Aric Kaiser threw for 140 yards in his first start since the season-opener against Menlo on Sept. 7. The Broomfield, Colo., native completed 11-of-24 passes including three touchdowns and one interception. 

Turnovers
Colorado Mesa leads the nation with 15 interceptions this season. South Dakota State (FCS), Wesley (III) and Amherst (III) also have 15 interceptions this season. CMU ranks third in Div. II in turnovers gained (2.0 pg) and fifth in turnover margin (1.8 pg). 
Defense
CMU ranks sixth in the nation and first in the conference in red zone defense (0.556). The Mavericks rank sixth nationally and first in the league in scoring defense allowing only 16.8 points per game. Mesa ranks 14th in the nation in fourth down defense at .214. 
Fort Lewis ranks last in the RMAC in scoring offense at 16.7 points per game. 
Fourth Quarter 
Colorado Mesa has scored more points (41) in the fourth quarter than any other. CMU has also given up fewer points (13) in the fourth quarter than any other. CMU is 4-0 this season when leading after the third quarter. 
Blocked Punt
The last time Mesa blocked a punt was against Fort Lewis in 2010. The last time a Maverick returned a punt for a touchdown was Trevor deBraga in 2012 against Fort Lewis.
Not a single RMAC team has had a punt blocked this season.

Colorado Mesa will host Colorado Mines for Homecoming Oct. 26.
