Box Score The Colorado Mesa baseball team started a crucial Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series with New Mexico Highlands on Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, N.M. The Mavericks dropped the opener to the Cowboys 11-10 after allowing 7 runs in the Cowboys final 3 innings. The Mavericks drop to 19-8 and 13-4 in the RMAC while Highlands improved to 19-7 and 12-5 in RMAC games.
Nolan Snell had a rocky start as he went 5.1 innings and allowed 7 runs on 10 hits, walked none and struck out 3. Three Mavericks came in relief and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, walked one and struck out one in 2.2 innings of work.
