Box Score         The Colorado Mesa baseball teamed dropped the opening game of a four-game series against the Colorado Mines Orediggers on Friday 12-8 at Canyon View Park. The Mavericks allowed 6 runs in the top of the sixth inning and couldnt recover from it. The Mavericks record drops to 12-7 on the season and 6-3 in the RMAC while Colorado Mines 6-7 on the season and 4-5 in the RMAC.

        The Mavericks allowed only 5 earned runs in the game as CMU committed four errors in the game. Colorado Mesa also left 11 on base in the game.

        Nolan Snell took his first loss of the season allowng 9 runs (4 earned) on 11 hits, walked 3 and struck out 10. Snell is now 4-1 on the season.

        Tamatoa Demello led Colorado Mesa offensively going 2-for-4 with 2 triples, 2 RBIs, and a run scored. Braden Box, Colton Little, and Tim Fowler also finished the game with 2 hits a piece.

        The series will continue tomorrow at 1:00pm at Canyon View Park.
