Volleyball Preview - CSU-Pueblo & N.M. Highlands

Colorado Mesa will play their final regular season matches this weekend on the road. On Friday, they will travel to Pueblo to take on the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves then on Saturday they will head South to take on the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls. Here is a quick preview for both matchups.

Last Week for the ThunderWolves: CSU-Pueblo split a pair of road matches last weekend. They defeated Western State in straight sets before falling to nationally ranked Adams State in four.

RMAC Standings: CSU-Pueblo is currently tenth in the overall RMAC standings and will not make the RMAC Tournament. They are also fifth in the West Division standings, one match behind fourth place Fort Lewis.

ThunderWolf to Watch: Middle Blocker Brianna Bryant (Jr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) has emerged as one of the better blockers in the RMAC. She is third in the conference in total blocks (114) and solo blocks (24). She had a season high 9 blocks earlier in the season in a 3-2 loss to Cameron.

Last Week for the Cowgirls: New Mexico Highlands continued struggling in the RMAC season. The Cowgirls losing streak now stands at 15 matches after falling to Western State in four and Adams State in three.

RMAC Standings: The Cowgirls are currently 13th in the RMAC standings with Chadron State and will not be participating in the RMAC Tournament. Highlands is also in seventh place in the West standings just a match behind Western State.

Cowgirl to Watch: Dairan Mullen is one of the top hitters in the RMAC this season. She ranks fifth in the conference in Kills (333) and third in kills per set (3.78). She had 25 kills and 15 digs last weekend against Western State.
