Mavs Fall to Grizzlies in Dual Meet

Final Results

Colorado Mesa University women's swim team dropped a dual meet to host Adams State University 138-67 on Saturday afternoon in Alamosa. The Grizzlies won all 11 events and broke several pool records on the way to the dual victory.

 The meet opened with the 400 medley relay with the team of Sydney Miller, Katie Thompson, Briana Purkapile and Amy Brodie finishing second in a time of 4:16.44.

Brodie posted a second place finish in the 50 free in a time of 26.22.

Purkapile finished second in the 200 fly (2:28.57) and third in the 400 IM (5:21.70). Maddy Wigg was second in the 400 IM in a time of 5:18.17.  

Kelly Hogan registered two second place finishes; the 1000 free (11:29.95) and the 500 free (5:38.19).

Karlie Wagner touched the wall in second place in the 200 back in a time of 2:20.01.

The meet closed out with the 800 free relay with the team of Hogan, Samantha Parker, Luisa Radaic, Wigg taking second place in a time of 8:38.20.

CMU will return to the pool this weekend at the Colorado Mesa Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, November 17-18 at the El Pomar Natatorium. Saturday morning's events begin at 10 a.m.
