Colorado Mesa women's swimming & diving team hosted Adams State University and Western State Colorado in dual action on Saturday afternoon at the El Pomar Natatorium on the campus of CMU. The Mavericks defeated Western State 148-84 and fell in dual action to Adams State 127-88.
Amy Brodie was a dual winner taking home top honors in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:02.29. Brodie and teammates Briana Purkapile, Annie Jones and Kelly Hogan won the 400 free relay in a time of 3:42.80. Brodie, Purkapile, Karlie Wagner and Katie Thompson finished second on the 400 medley relay.
Hogan finished second in the 200 free (2:02.21) and 100 fly (1:04.67). CMU picked up 10 points in the 100 fly event, placing second through fourth; Hogan, Jillian Hayes (1:04.84) and Katie Olson (1:06.51).
Amanda Jennings coming off this week's RMAC Diver of the Week honor, finished first in the 3-meter event with a final score of 208.50.
CMU will travel to Colorado School of Mines on Saturday for a dual versus the Orediggers beginning at 1 p.m.
