Mavs Fall at #17 Regis University

Colorado Mesa (13-6, 7-4 RMAC) dropped its first of three road games this weekend falling to #17 Regis University 3-1 (19-25, 13-25, 25-16, 23-25) at the Regis Fieldhouse on Thursday night.

The Rangers had two players register double digit kills and tallied eight service aces in the four set match.

CMU was led by Haleigh Higgins, Christian Otzen and Rachael Beaty's nine kills each, while Abby Ney finished with seven kills. Megan Rush led all players with 18 digs, while Otzen finished with 11 digs and three blocks.

The Mavericks won set three recording 16 kills and hitting .344 (five errors, 32 attempts). CMU finished the match with a .149 attack percentage while the Rangers recorded 47 kills, 19 errors on 135 attempts for a .207 hitting percentage. The Mavs had 50 kills on the night, 29 errors on 141 attempts.

CMU will travel to UC-Colorado Springs on Friday night to play the Mountain Lions who defeated Ft. Lewis on Thursday night 3-0. UCCS is 14-6 overall and 9-3 in the RMAC east division.
