Foster Dual Meet Final Results
CMU women's swimming and diving team went 2-3 in the Bill & Peggy Foster Dual meet at the El Pomar Natatorium on the campus of Colorado Mesa University.
CMU defeated UC-Boulder 195-54 and RMAC foe Adams State 188-82. CMU fell to Division I Air Force Academy 248-49, University Northern Colorado 203-76 and University of New Mexico 212-65.
Briana Purkapile swam to four Top 9 finishes including a fifth place finish in the 500 free in a time of 5:24.65. Purkapile placed eighth in the 200 fly (2:17.68) and ninth in the 200 free (2:00.82). Purkapile and teammates; Kelly Hogan, Annie Jones and Gina Panacci swam to a sixth place finish in the 400 free relay (3:47.79).
Gina Panacci finished ninth in the 200 fly in a time of 2:21.88. Kelly Hogan placed 10th in the 50 free (25.78) and Katie Thompson was 11th in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.48).
Diver Amanda Jennings finished a career best third in the 3-meter with 241.42 points. Jennings placed fourth in the 1-meter event with 207.60 points.
CMU will travel to Colorado Springs for the Colorado College Classic on January 21-22.
