CMU falls at home to ThunderWolves 3-1

Colorado Mesa volleyball fell to visiting CSU-Pueblo 3-1 (28-26, 17-25, 24-26, 20-25) Saturday night at Brownson Arena. The loss drops the Mavericks to 7-12 overall and 2-7 in RMAC action. With the win the ThunderWolves improve to 10-7 overall and 6-3 in league play.

Rebecca Sellers led all players with 17 kills and recorded a double-double with 13 digs.

Haleigh Higgins finished with a double-double recording 14 kills and 14 digs. It is Higgins' first double-double of the season.

CSU-Pueblo registered 15 team blocks (24 block assists) to the Mavs' eight team blocks. Angela McAdams finished with eight blocks and Bernadette Pitre added seven blocks.

CMU finished the four-set match with 51 kills, 33 errors in 180 attempts (.100 attack percentage). CSUP recorded 48 kills, 25 errors in 144 attempts (.160 attack percentage). Despite CMU's five service aces the Mavs had 14 service errors.

CMU will play three consecutive road games this coming week beginning Thursday night at Colorado Mines. The Mavs will travel to Neb.-Kearney and Chadron State on Friday and Saturday night respectively.
