Final Results
Colorado Mesa University women's Swimming & Diving team won seven individual titles and one relay on its way to dual victories over Colorado School of Mines and Morningside College in Golden, Colo.
Briana Purkapile led the team with a first place finish in the 50 free and 100 freestyle events. Purkapile won the 50 free in a time of 25.73 and captured the 100 free in 55.46. CMU dominated the 50 free event clinching the top four spots.
Kelly Hogan won the 200 free in a time of 1:59.14. Jillian Hayes clinched first place in the 200 butterfly in 2:22.17. Jaclyn McMillen won the 200 backstroke in 2:14.90. Ashley Ochsner won the 200 breaststroke in 2:40.54. CMU swept the top three places in the event.
Freshman diver Brooke Lera won the 1-meter dive event with 235.43 points. Lera finished second in the 3-meter (204.98).
Hayes, Mara Von Holst, Gina Panacci and Purkapile won the 400 free relay in 3:47.55.
Next up for the Mavericks is the Colorado Mesa University Invitational, November 19-20 at the El Pomar Natatorium.
