Colorado Mesa (8-14, 3-9) volleyball team snapped a three-match losing streak, including two against nationally ranked teams, to defeat Chadron State 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-20, 25-21) Saturday night in Chadron, NE.
Four Mavericks registered double digit kills led by Kelly Regimbal's 16 kills and Haleigh Higgins' double-double (14 kills, 17 digs). Rachael Beaty tallied 13 kills and a .281 attack percentage. Antoinette McCormick finished with 12 kills on 24 attempts and just one error, hitting .458 in the four-set match.
Megan Rush had a game high 31 digs and added five assists and one service ace on the night.
Freshman setter Jordyn Moody finished with 51 assists, 10 digs and two kills.
Chadron State finished with 12 team blocks and a team high 10 kills from Mallory Irvine.
CMU will travel to CSU-Pueblo and Western State this Friday and Saturday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
