Mesa State volleyball team opened Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play on the road this weekend falling to #15-ranked Metro State (18-25, 21-25, 22-5) and Regis (14-25, 21-25, 20-25) snapping a three match win streak.

Metro State swept the Mavericks hitting .333 in the match and recording 12 team blocks. Three Roadrunners notched double digit kills.

MSC's Meagan Bosch led the Mavs with 14 kills. The Mavs finished with six blocks and hit just .140 for the match.

Friday night the Regis Rangers defeated MSC in three straight sets holding the Mavs to their second lowest point total, 14 points in the first set.

Sarah Kemp finished with a game high 10 kills.

MSC will look to notch their first league win Saturday night at Colorado Christian.
