The RMAC Championship Game came down to the two best teams in the RMAC all season long, the Mesa State Mavericks and the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys.
Through six innings both teams had scored in every inning except one inning a side. Mesa State jumped out to a 10-6 lead after five and a half innings. New Mexico Highlands answered in the bottom half by scoring two runs on two hits and one error which cut the Maverick lead to 10-8.
In the top half of the eighth,
Kevin Becker drove a two run double to right center field to empty the bases and give the Mavericks a 12-8 lead.
The Mavericks ended up scoring five runs on five hits and one Cowboy error to end the top half of the eighth inning.
Mesa State went on to win by a score of 15-8.
Cowboy Christian Garcia straight stole home in the bottom of the fifth inning. It was Garcia's 19th stolen base of the season.

Ryan Gorzitze picked up the win and improves his record to 1-0 on the season.
Derek Riley picks up the save, his first of the year.
