The Mesa State Mavericks took 2-of-3 games from the 7th ranked Cowboys of New Mexico Highlands. The two teams will play a final non-conference game on Sunday to conclude the season series.
In Friday Night's Game One, the Maveericks dawned throwback uniforms from the 1950's in honor of legendary coach Bus Bergman who passed away in late March. The New Mexico Highlands Cowboys defeated the Mavericks 15-8 to claim the RMAC Regular Season title and the #1 seed in the RMAC Tournament.

Brett Nigbur led the Maverick attack offensively, going 4-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI's.
In Saturday's afternoon game, Mesa State scored all of their runs in the 3rd inning scoring. Senior
Austin Buck had a 3-run double in the 3rd inning to pace the Mavericks to a 5 run inning and the 5-3 victory.
Sophomore
Kyle Davis carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning before surrendering a hit to Cowboy Christian Garcia. Davis went on to the win and keep his perfect record at 6-0. Senior

In the nightcap, the Mavericks scored in every inning except the 5th en route to a 9-7 victory. Catcher

Cowboy Jason Carr hit 3 homeruns in a losing effort for New Mexico Highlands.
The series will conclude on Sunday with a single non-RMAC game starting at noon.
