The Mavericks continued its hot streak this past weekend by taking 3-of-4 games from archrival CSU-Pueblo. Mesa State has now won its past 3 series and are winners in 12 of their last 14 games.
The Mavericks won by scores of 7-4, 20-11, and 6-1 but dropped the first game of the weekend 2-1. With those wins, Mesa State clinched the season series with the Thunderwolves 5 games to 2 games.
Mesa State will take on the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers tonight (weather pending) in the annual 'Game of Hope.' A portion of the ticket sales from the game will be donated to the American Cancer Society. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm. The series will resume Friday with a doubleheader scheduled to start at 3:00pm and a single game Saturday with first pitch coming at 12:00pm.
