In Sunday's season finale, Junior
Kelly Parkhurst's (Escondido, Calif) goal with 1:39 left gave the Mavericks their fifth win of the season, 2-1. Parkhurst took a shot from about 35 yards out and sailed her shot over the goalie's head for her second goal of the season.
Earlier in the match, UCCS took an early lead when Jessica Escobedo scored in the 25th minute. Escobedo's shot glanced off a Maverick defender and went in the net.
