Mesa State men's swim team defeated host Colorado School of Mines 142.50-99.50 and combined with the women's team beat the Orediggers 279.50-196.50, Friday afternoon in Golden. MSC lost to Division I Air Force by a score of 131-106.
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Diver of the Week, Brock Martin, won again in both 1-meter and 3-meter events. Martin scored 253.20 points and 281.65 respectively.
RMAC Swimmer of the Week, Kent Stavrakas, won the 50 freestyle in 21.87. Stavrakas finished second in the 100 freestyle (47.64).
Andy Gibbons won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:15.35. Gibbons placed fifth in the 200 IM (2:06.87) and third in the 400 medley relay with teammates; Heath Eustance, Alejandro Hernandez and Dan MacDonald.
Hernandez had a third place finish in the 200 butterfly (1:59.73) and a fifth place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:50.10). Eustance placed third in the 200 backstroke in 2:04.45.
Kelly Doggett recorded a third place finish in the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:28.28.
MSC will compete November 19-20 at the Trinity Western Invitational in Southlake, TX.
