Mavs spike cancer in win over T-Wolves.

Mavs strike down ThunderWolves

Mesa State volleyball improved to 15-7 overall and 9-4 in league play with a three set sweep over visiting CSU-Pueblo in the Mavs 'Spike Cancer' game benefiting Cancer Awareness Month.

Sarah Kemp 12 kills and .571 attack percentage (zero errors, 21 attempts) led the Mavericks. Kemp had seven kills in the first set and finished the night with four digs, one block solo and a service ace.

Meagan Bosch added nine kills and a team high 10 digs. Tara King had 30 assists and tallied eight digs, three kills and two block assists.

MSC recorded six team blocks and four service aces.

CSU-Pueblo was led by Gina Abbott's 12 kills. The T-Wolves had four team blocks.

MSC will host Western State Sunday at 4 p.m. in its final home regular season game. Four seniors will be honored prior to the game; Meagan Bosch, Whitney Howard, Tara King and Lindsey Reed.
