Mesa State (14-7, 8-4) volleyball bounced back Saturday night in a three set sweep over visiting Chadron State (2-18, 1-11). One night after their eight match win streak and first home loss to No. 9 Neb.-Kearney, the Mavericks dispatched the Eagles; 25-22, 25-17, 25-18.
Rebecca Sellers had a team high eight kills and finished with six digs and one block. Celest Alofipo added seven kills. Antoinette McCormick, Lindsey Reed and Meagan Bosch finished with six kills each. The three combined for four blocks.
Megan Rush had a season high six service aces including three in the third set and finished with eight digs. Whitney Howard led the team with 14 digs and added two service aces.
MSC recorded a season high 10 service aces in the match.
Chardon State's Lauren Yoder led all players with 13 kills.
MSC will host CSU-Pueblo this Friday in its annual "Spike Cancer" awareness game, set to start at 7 p.m. Sunday the Mavericks will host Western State at 4 p.m.
