Mike Dominguez followed up Friday night's 37 point performance with a game high 30 points Saturday night in the Mavericks 78-64 win at CSU-Pueblo.
Jase Herl finished with a season high 14 rebounds and game high five assists.
Michael Bear and Brian Kenshalo posted 12 points each.
Justin Ashbaugh pulled down 5 rebounds and had 3 assists in 26 minutes of action.
MSC held a 45-36 halftime lead after shooting 66.7 percent (18-27) from the field. Mesa State pushed the lead to 16 points at the 5:53 mark on a trey by Ryan Mortensen.
CSU-Pueblo opened the second half on a 16-7 run to tie the game at 52 with 13:47 remaining in regulation. The Mavericks answered with a 10-0 run and a 62-52 lead. MSC maintained a double digit lead as Dominguez scored the final 8 points for the Mavericks.
CSU-Pueblo was led by Marc William's 20 points.
The #17-ranked Mavericks will host Western State Tuesday night at Brownson Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
