On Friday, the Mavs (11-9, 8-4) traveled to Alamosa, Colorado to take on the Adams State Grizzlies (4-16, 1—11) in an attempt to extend their win streak to five games. MSC held a 10 point halftime lead, 34-24, and despite the Grizzlies pulling to within two points in the second half, MSC went on to defeat Adams, 78-61.
Mesa's victory was thanks in part to the spectacular performance put on by Sean Flohr who racked up 22 of his team's points, while grabbing five rebounds. Flohr had 17 points in the first half hitting 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Jase Herl led the team with nine rebounds and finished with 16 points, including 10-of-10 from the foul line. Ryan Mathews recorded 11 points and Ryan Mortensen had a game high five assists.
MSC travels to Fort Lewis College Saturday night for a matchup with the Skyhawks (17-6, 8-4).
