Mesa State women's swim team defeated Colorado College in a dual meet Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs, 212-64, dominating the 16-event meet.
Katie Wedel picked up three first place titles along with teammate Sarah Hagerstrom's three titles to lead the Mavericks. Wedel won the 200 freestyle (2:01.39), 100 breaststroke (1:11.23) and the 200 breaststroke (2:32.25). Wedel was a member of the first place 200 yard medley relay team (1:59.13) along with Jaclyn McMillen, Danielle Shabelski and Abby Schmeckpeper-Cook.
Hagerstrom won the 200 butterfly (2:21.49), 500 freestyle (5:33.14) and the 200 individual medley (2:23.22).
Kelly Hogan, Jaclyn McMillen and the Mavs national qualifying diver, Annie Rhoades were each multi-event winners. Hogan won the 50 freestyle (25.48) and 100 fly (1:04.50). Jaclyn McMillen won the 100 backstroke (1:02.66) and 200 backstroke (2:14.18) as well as the medley relay. Rhoades won the 1-meter (225.08) and 3-meter (238.05) diving events.
Next up for the Mavs is a dual at Adams State College on November 14.
