Antoinette McCormick registered a game high 12 kills and no errors on 16 attempts (.750) leading the MSC (10-8, 8-1) volleyball team to a three set sweep at Regis University (9-8, 7-2) Thursday night. The Mavericks defeated the Rangers 25-17, 25-19, 25-19, hitting .277 and recording seven blocks. The win is the first of three consecutive matches on three straight nights to be played in the Denver area (Colorado Christian, Metro).
McCormick along with her 12 kills had 3 digs, 2 block assists and 1 service ace. Gabrielle Lovato was the only other Maverick to tally double digit kills (11). Rachel Beaty led the team with 4 block assists and added 3 kills.
Tara King, RMAC Player of the Week, finished with 38 assists, 7 digs, 3 kills and 1 block assist. Whitney Howard registered a game high 18 digs.
MSC had 43 kills on 101 attempts and just 15 errors, posting a season high .277 attack percentage.
MSC will face Colorado Christian Friday night and travel across town for a Saturday matchup with nationally ranked Metro State.
