Mav Swimmers Drop Dual at Air Force

Mesa State women's swim team dropped a dual meet at Air Force Academy Friday night.  MSC women fell 157-128 in the 16-event dual meet.

 

MSC women won five of the 16 events led by Katie Wedel's 200 yard individual medley in a time of 2:15.91. Wedel placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.32) and 200 breaststroke (2:31.88).

 

Rachel Bailey won the 100 backstroke (1:03.18) and second in the 200-yard IM (2:27.03). Kelly Hogan won the 200 freestyle (2:01.07) and second in the 100 freestyle (56.02).

 

Annie Rhoades won the 1-meter diving with 212.33 points and finished second in the 3-meter with 212.10 points.

 

The Mavericks 400 freestyle relay team of Kelly Hogan, Gina Panacci, Denby Gardiner and Sarah Hagerstrom took top honors in a time of 3:48.14.

 

 MSC's 200-yard medley relay team of Jaclyn McMillen, Katie Wedel, Rachel Bailey and Kelly Hogan finished second in a time of 1:54.69.McMillen placed second in the 200 backstroke (2:14.52).

 

Mesa State will swim at Colorado College Saturday in a dual meet beginning at Noon.
