Tessa Andrews' 18 kills and 3 blocks help lead the Mavericks to a 3-set sweep over visiting CSU-Pueblo in Friday night's “Swing For Life” Cancer Awareness night. The Mavericks wore pink jerseys in the contest which were later auctioned off in between sets with all proceeds going to the Cancer Foundation Fund.
MSC defeated the ThunderWolves 25-17, 25-23, 25-23 to improve to 14-9 overall and 12-2 in RMAC action. The loss dropped the T-Wolves to 6-18 overall and 3-12 in league play.
Alisan Tompkins finished with 10 kills and 7 digs. Whitney Howard and Megan Rush recorded 13 and 10 digs respectively. Tara King had 33 assists and 9 digs in the match.
MSC remains undefeated in west division play with a perfect 7-0 mark and improve their home record to 5-2.
The Mavericks will host Adams State College Saturday night at 7 p.m.
