Mavericks Outplay Regis But Lose

            The Men's Soccer team outbattled the Regis Rangers in every facet of the match but came away without the win. The Rangers scored the lone goal of the match in the 65th minute to score the win, 1-0. Mesa State's record falls to 2-12-2 on the season and 2-8-1 in RMAC play.

            Regis' goal in the 65th minute came from Jordan Brandel when a defensive miscue led to the ball being chipped over goalkeeper Josh Tinaglia's head. It was Brandel's 4th goal of the season.

            The Mavericks out shot the Rangers 18-10, had more corner kicks 4-3, more shots on goal 6-4, but couldn't get the equalizing goal.

            Regis' record improved to 8-3-4 on the year and 6-1-4 in the RMAC.

            Mesa State will play its final home match this Sunday as the take on 25th ranked Metro State at Walker Field. Kick off is set for 12 noon.
