Alisan Tompkins recorded a team high 13 kills and 11 digs in the Mavericks loss to #16-ranked SW Minnesota State 0-3 (18-25, 20-25, 21-25) Friday afternoon at the Lions Den on the campus of UC- Colorado Springs.
Number 8-ranked Minnesota Duluth handed the Mavs their second loss of the day, sweeping MSC 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25 -22).
MSC had 48 hitting errors in the two matches and hit just .071 in the match versus Minnesota Duluth. The Mavericks tallied 8 team blocks led by Lindsey Jefferson's five assisted blocks and one solo block. MSC had five service aces in the match.
Saturday MSC will play host UC-Colorado Springs in a non-conference match-up.
