Volleyball Sweeps CSU-Pueblo

Lovato records season high 15 kills.

                Gabrielle Lovato (Jr., 5'10, OH, Austin, CO) led the Mavericks with 15 kills and five service aces in the teams three set sweep over visiting CSU-Pueblo (25-22, 25-15, 25-23) Saturday night at Brownson Arena. Lovato was the only player to reach double digit kills as the Mavericks improve to 11-11 overall and 9-6 in RMAC action.

                MSC hit .222 in the match and recorded six blocks, including five block assists by Jessica Bird (Sr., 5'10, MB, Honolulu, HI) and four by Tara King (So., 5'9, S, Steamboat Springs, CO). King led all players with 31 assists. Alisan Tompkins (Jr., 5'10, OH, Grand Junction, CO) finished with a game high 10 digs.

                The win improved the Mavs record to 11-11 overall and 9-6 in RMAC play. MSC will host Western State and Fort Lewis on Friday and Saturday night respectively. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. start time in Brownson Arena. It will be the final home games for the Mavericks this season.
