BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – Sage D'Ambrosia finished sixth on the one-meter to lead the Colorado Mesa University swimming and diving teams at the NCAA Div. II National Championships Friday (March 10).
D'Ambrosia finished with a score of 466.45, and teammate Noah Macomber was 10
th with a score of 419.20.
The men's 800 free relay of Sam Bryant, Ryan Gifford, Jerry Veneris and Josh Bedford finished 11
th in a school-record time of 6:36.77. The 11th place finish was the highest by a relay in school history.
Mary Saiz led the women's team finishing 13
th in the 100 back in a time of 56.21.
Eric Berg was the top finisher in the men's 100 back (50.05) finishing 21
st.
Josh Bedford placed 22
nd (55.65) in the 100 breast, and Chris Radomski was 25
th (1:52.78) in the 200 fly.
The women's 800 free relay of Eryn Leonard, Madelaine McClain, Marissa Bradley and Sam White finished 28
th (7:39.87).
Ryan Gifford and Sam Bryant finished 31
st (4:33.54) and 32
nd (4:33.55) in the 500 free.
The men are currently 15
th with 89 points, and the women are 27
th with 17 points.
The NCAA Championships conclude Saturday (March 11).
