- Second Team All-RMAC (High Jump- 2024 Outdoor)
2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed at all three of CMU’s home meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the high jump after placing fifth with a season-best clearance of 1.62 meters (5-3.75) at the conference meet… Ranks eighth in CMU outdoor history with that mark… Had a season-best, all-conditions triple jump performance of 11.36 meters (37-3.25) at the Maverick Invite #2… Also had a wind-aided (+3.9) effort of 11.14 meters (36-6.75) in the same series… Was seventh on the RMAC’s season-long performance list in the high jump and 12
th in the triple jump.
2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in two meets… Finished seventh in the high jump at the RMAC Championships, clearing 1.59 meters (5-2.5)… Had qualified by clearing a season-best 1.63 meters (5-4.25) at the Big Red Machine Open… Is tied for eighth in program history with that mark… Was also tied for ninth on the RMAC’s season-long performers list… Also recorded a triple jump mark of 10.92 meters (35-10) at the Big Red Machine Open in her lone attempts at that discipline.
2022-23 (Freshman): Redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Prep: 2022 4A Wyoming State Champion for the Sheridan High School Broncs… Coached by Taylor Kelting… Won nine of her ten meets as a senior, clearing an outdoor PR height of 5-5… Went on to finish ninth at the Great Southwest Track & Field Classic… Also placed fifth at the state meet and 12
th at Great Southwest in the triple jump after setting a PR mark of 36-4.75 to finish third at the 4A East Regionals… Had three triple jump victories in 2022… Had a long jump PR of 16-5.5 early in her senior season… Set indoor PRs of 5-6 (high jump), 34-6.25 (triple jump) and 15-6.25 (long jump) during the 2022 winter season… Finished second in the high jump and fourth in the triple jump at the Wyoming Indoor State Championships… Placed fourth in the high jump and fifth in the triple jump at the 2021 state outdoor meet and was second in the high jump and eighth in the triple jump at that year’s indoor championships.
Personal: Is majoring in exercise science… Aspires to become an occupational therapist with the goal of going from schools over the twon to help students achieve their full potential… Daughter of Gretchen and Mike McCafferty… Relative Quinn McCafferty plays baseball at Wayne State in Nebraska…. Relative Nolan McCafferty plays football at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana…. Enjoys hanging out with friends, playing any sport and being with family.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I absolutely loved the campus. I came on my visit and met the coaching staff and some of the other athletes and knew this was the place I was meant to go.”
